Are there any schools that still have mixed changing rooms? When I was at primary school(about 20 years ago)we all got changed for PE in the classroom.Even at secondary school, since ours was all-boys up till our year and then there were a handful of girls, they used to have just one set of changing rooms and the girls joined us in there. That stopped about 1993/4-are there any schools that still do this-or were we the last??

Visiting a primary school recently, I was perturbed to see children in a mixed year 6 changing in their classroom, with their male teacher present, and with me present, who they did not know from Adam. It made me very uneasy, not because I am a perv but because it seems to fly in the face of all the child protection issues we have to comply with today. The flip side of these is that as an adult working with children you need to be able to demonstrate your own complete innocence, at all times.
Be interesting to hear if others have had similar experiences or whether this was a one-off.
