A "mechanic" has damaged my car, the passenger door has been forced back so hard that it has bent the hinges (I think), now I can only get the door to open about 2 inches before it pushes against the wing.

As I can't get the door open, how can I get to the bolts to take the door off?

the scratches on the wheel arch are old.

How much do you think this would cost to be repaired at a bodyshop?

Surely you should be thinking of having the so-called 'mechanic' repair, or pay for the repair of, the damage to the door.
You need to have the door open to be able to unbolt the hinges.
it might be possible to unbolt the wing. it's probably not quite so straightforward as that but it would at least allow the door to fully open so you can gain access to the hinges. in the scheme of things i always try the least expensive option. but, like skids i think the person who damaged it should put it right. cost? i dunno but, it has to be weighed against the cars value. it could be a little more complex than repalcing the hinges.

The garage which damaged the door, deny knowing anything about it.

A mechanic in the bar says it could cost hundreds, if the wing has to come off.

i bet you are talking 400 plus it looks as if the door will have to be forced open to start with, new hindges fitted
