Hammamet is good, big beaches, nice resorts, but I don't know how much it's got for kids.

Not much for kids as I recall, sun, sea and sand place. Water sports lot cheaper than most med, and canaries destinations. Lot of history , if you like that kind of thing. Port el kantaoui is purpose built, shops ect selling usual tourist stuff. Sousse is about 20 mins away via a noddy train, In Sousse there is a bazzar thing inside the old city. Didnt like Sousse but great beach. Never been to any other places there. oh you can get camel rides also. You get a bit pestered on the beach, traders selling all kinds of stuff , you have no desire to own. Some hotels have private beach that traders aint welcome on. golf also in port kantaoui.
