Does fire wire ports come as standard on all pc desktop models and laptops or do the shops like dell offer fire wire port as an add on aptional. how many fire wire ports are on the average pc.I know mac have them built in but what about dell....

firewire is on a lot of laptops, fewer desktops but they are not standard by a long way so check each model to see if it has firewire or not.

Normally most laptops would have one firewire port, desktops may have more, but again there is no hard rule for this, it will vary from computer to computer

you can get either firewire cards to go into a desktop, or a card for most laptops that will give either firewire ports, the cards normally have 2-4 ports on them.
