And I hope youll accept my sincere apologies for not keeping track my botty has been lightly spanked!.. By me, so it wasnt much fun!

Im so sorry that youve to undergo this procedure, and Id like to proffer my very best wishes, lots of love & several long hugs if theyll help?.. Ah, theyre always there for you! ♥

Youre strong youve had two children, no? You know that the love that your family & friends have for you will be helping you through this difficult time.

I know this all sounds very platitudinous, but its not meant that way, I promise.

Sorry if this was out of order, but I wanted to wish you well.

Much love, Lie-in King ♥x♥
I was just about to go and put the kettle on when I spotted you. Well it's really nice of you, thank you - and platitudinous is a splendid word to use!!!! : )

Strong, black, two sugars please... Or should I stick to the V & T's?

That's not meant to make you feel worse - that I can drink & you can't...

"ever-deepening hole"...

Oh, & I've words a-plenty, acushla... :-))
I can make coffees to suit.
Now I'm going to show my ignorance - what does acushla mean???
Sorry - I also love words, but that one's beaten me! x

'Tis "Darling"... x
yes LIK its an irish word literal meaning is beat of my heart!
Question Author
Now, you see, ah - it's Irish & I'm not, but I love the word & don't get to use it much - I know, you'd think! :-)
Question Author
Thank you pink! I didn't know that - I always say it's a sad day when you don't learn something new! :-) x
Mo chuisle" literally means "My pulse", but can mean "My love" or "My darling".
It's an Irish term of endearment taken from the original phrase "A chuisle mo chro", or "Pulse of my heart". You could also say "Mo chuisle mo chro", which would be "My pulse of my heart".
My goodness!!! Blushes from my head to my feet.
Isn't that lovely pink?
I don't usually like the word "darling" as in bandied around. It sounds false coming from any Tom, Dick or Harry - but thank you LiK. Said like that, it's very nice.
I also appreciate what you said earlier. I'm sure that I'll be OK, health-wise, but just having a few jitters atm. x
hope you remain well Ice. Slainte irish for to good health

am heading to bed night all

I see what you mean, Icey, but I don't use "Darling" unless I mean it.

We don't know each other, but you're the only person on AB that I would address thus.

You're going to be just fine - imagine the butterflies are real, so pretty & gentle, they can't possibly hurt you. ♥x
Bless you pink. Night night hun. xx

I'd love to be able to say that I know you're right, LiK, but when you don't know what's wrong with you, and time just drags on and on, it makes you feel a bit vulnerable sometimes. In the usual way, I'm a strong person, but I look at my children and think - **** I've GOT to stay around for them!
Sorry, that sounds maudlin, but it's just a feeling I get sometimes.
Anyway, sorry, but it's gone 3 a.m., and I'd better get off, so thank you for your kind words, and night night to you. x

Sorry, I was in the kitchen...

You're allowed to have those feelings - they're natural when confronted with a frightening situation, but you mustn't let them overcome the innate love you & your family share.

Their love & concern for you will give you the strength that you need - when it's over, you'll think "Was that it? That was easy... Bring on the results!"

I've got to say good night now too, but I'd like you to remember that you are in my thoughts & that "all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well". (Out of context, but the meaning's right...)

(((((Icey))))) ♥x
