I have recently got front Disk and pads replaced on my V W Sharran. Since then it gives a squeaky noise that is more louder when reversing for parking. Disk and pads were bought from Main dealer and fitted by a local garage. Fitter says that material was faulty as there is nothing wrong in fitting V W people say that they can check it but only investigation would cost 60+VAT. My question is that as I am stuck in the middle, is there any way I can get rid of this noise? Any spray etc or the only option is new pads again. Thanks in advance.

Question Author
Roughly about 3 months. I thought that it may stop after a while but no luck.
hi, i work for a main dealer & the parts should be warranty I.E. faulty parts. But yes there are cleaners/sprays, also you could have a stone in the caliper, but the wheels need to come off & if you can get the pads out & check the surface, when you do get the pads out & feel the suface this,nt right take them back to where you got them from & they should exchange them for a new set under warranty..

Thanks for your answer. The fitter has already taken them off once and shown me and said that they do not look right. Perhaps I should get new one in and then take those faulty back and ask for my money back.
