Hi, the hospital changed my h.r.t about a month agao, i just stopped taking Premarin and changed to Livial, this was a month ago, and in hat month i have put on a stone in weight, i no longer want to be on this one if the weight is going to pile on this fast, so will it be ok if i just change back to Premarin as i still have a whole box in the cupboard, rather than wait until Sept when my hospital app is due without causing any health problem. Any advice appreciated. Thank you

Well they obviously changed it for a reason so maybe it would be better to get professional advice before you change back. Could you speak to your own gp or someone at the hospital over the phone? I have to say I wish it would help me to gain weight :o(

Hi Robinia
They changed the one i was taking to try to help boost my libido as it is non exsistant since my hysterectomy at the ge of 25 i am now 44, but it hasnt helped at all, so i cant see the use of being on it for that reason only, so i would rather come off and try something else raher than keep putting on the weight.x
Could you contact the hospital and ask for a telephone consultation with the doctor?.Failing that, can you ask for a sooner appointment?
I really wouldn't go changing prescribed medication without asking the doc first!
