he is still my ex... which is good!

keeping in touch though but he still says things to me which I take as him calling me a *****.

of course he denies it.

I don't know why I don't feel able to block him from my life completely, but maybe its down to me being lonely and maybe one day when I am not so lonely, have a few more friends etc, then I won't be bothered about keeping in touch with ex even.

For now I'm not strong enough to do that but at least I have been strong enough to be able to call him my ex.

Just wondered if anyone else has ever felt like they can't block someone (doesn't have to be an ex - could be a family member) out of their life completely even though they are not nice to them.

But thats how abusers make their abusee (if their is such a word) feel. Uncertain.
I'm sorry Karma...that is not abuse. That sounds more like paranoia on your behalf.

Oh please for god sake someone.

I hope to god this doesn't happen to you ummmm. Or perhaps you wouldn't know the difference.

Thats how abuse can work. The abuser can be subtle about it making their abusee uncertain if they are being abused or not. Thats how abuse works. End of.

Have a read of this website http://www.womensaid.org.uk/domestic_violence_ topic.asp?section=0001000100220041§ionTitl e=Domestic+violence+%28general%29

This is one section from it: -
What are the signs of domestic violence?

Destructive criticism and verbal abuse:
shouting/mocking/accusing/name calling/verbally threatening
I wanted a Bombay bad boy, but Tescos didn't have any. But I do have cake.

Thats a different type of abuse.

I could put up with that, thats just banter abuse, he said she said.

No real abuse is subtle.
