can anyone tell me if there is anywhere in renfrewshire thati can take my pc tower to be fixed, its an emachine turns on & stays on but doesnt load up for some reason any help would be appreciated

Hi there, when the PC comes on, what does it show on screen. is it blank or loading windows - but stopping?

This will give me a clue as to what is going on . . lets see if we can help get you up and running

Maybe some clever person in ' computing' would be able to help you too.

hi yingyang the screen just stays blank to turn the tower of you have to unplug it from the socket .

First thing I would look at is a BIOS issue. This might just need a reset (unplug battery on motherboard - wait 1 min - plug battery back in). If you dont feel comfortable doing this, Tait Components in Cooper Street, Glasgow have an excellent tech centre - at reasonable prices. Let me know how you get on. If you are technically comfortable, I can talk you through a couple of tests that will help track the root of the problem.

hi yinyang, im not into the tech stuff but i know someone who has better knowledge than me i will get them to do what you have suggested & will keep you posted on how i get on . thanks for your help once again
