daughter had full no claims with previous car insurer, rang them to ask for written confirmation of this. no need they said we will forward information to new insurer. New insurer sent her letter saying ,they have put up premium by 65, as she has not supplied them with this relevent info regarding no claims.Should previous insurer have sent this information to my daughter when she asked for it . and not say they would forward it on ???

We don't send NCB to other insurers, but will provide the info over the phone if they call us.

We do the same - if we've not had the physical NCB, we ring the previous insurers.

Probably a case of a customer service rep who couldn't be bothered in all honesty. If your daughter gives her new insurers her old details, they should ring them and refund the additional premium.

i know it's a pain initially, but it is (in theory at least) easily resolved
did your daughter get a renewal quote from her previous insurer.
some insurers will accept this as proof
Hi dont worry it can be sorted out. I dont think your daughters old insurers would have written direct to her new insurer. The usual proceedure is either for her to send her renewal notice to the new insurer which should confirm her bonus; or her old insurer should send her a letter which she then sends on to her new insurer. If you can get either of these documents to your new insurer then they should reverse the additional premium. Good Luck
