Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Help with 42a please. clue: Horse moving damn badly needed to make ground?(4-4) Have: H - - - / M - N -, Also, is 47d IMPOST? clue: Weight that's born by incoming cargo ship?

It doesnt fit with your letters but I had Hand Mill
ie - H = horse
DAMN moving = and m
and BADLY = ill

And I had IMPORT for 47d but wasn't sure if it wwas correct.
Sent it off now so its too late.

Francis, how does 'import' work out? Thanks for HAND MILL, but I thought 41d was KNOCK OFF. I know yours has gone off already, but you may still be interested (What's a hand mill anyway?) Very puzzled, Timessolver.

If you grind something you hand mill it - that's what i was thinking. I didn't work IMPORT out - it was the only word i could think of that fit (lol). What's the clue for 41d?

41d - clock off, not knock off

47d - import. It means weight or importance, also an incoming ship brings in imports.

Thank you Francis Asis and Baitress. Wonderful explanations. The fog has lifted; I was completely in the dark on these. Francis, as your copy has gone, the clue for 41d was: Stop Labour and Conservative slogan supporting open door policy? (5,3)
