Sentenced to four years and ten months, and two years and four months.

Their crime? Writing offensive articles and publishing them on the internet.

Judge Rodney Grant told the pair their material was "abusive and insulting" and had the potential to cause "grave social harm".

Excuse me but how many years did Abu Qatada get?

But then perhaps the answer lies here?

Winning 'Hearts and Minds' again, it isn't working in Afghanistan and it sure won't work here.
Aog. Haven't you realised yet, this is a priminister who want's to see Britain defenceless. He has ordacity to say our troops are dying for their Country, no they aren't, they are dying in Afghanistan because his predecessor wanted to cow down to the amaricans.
And he and his government are now cow downing to the muslims why our troops are gettin killed by them.
The law presumes the indigenous population have no rights, feelings or consideration. The EUHR law was brought in to protect the terrorists, the illegal immigrants and foreign prisoners, etc.
I would say the sentence seems about right for this pair. Were you thinking the sentence was too short?
Who said there are no good news stories!

Thank you for the post AOG. That's made my day. Let's hope the sentences deter filth like that from spewing their vile view across the net.

Imagine if children had read their disgusting posts. I keep my fingers crossed that they get to share a cell with a psychotic Jew and Rasta, both of whom are kickboxing champions.

Incidentally Abu Qatada was held for six years, and the information I've found is that minister have been given leave to deport him to his home country.

So it's not all sunshine and roses for him. Just curious - why bring up his name? Hardly supports your argument, does it?
Ha ha ha...it gets even funnier.

Did you see this bit:

During the first trial in July last year, the pair skipped bail and fled to California, where they sought asylum, claiming they were being persecuted for their right-wing views.

They claimed asylum!!!

Someone get me Alanis Morrisette's phone number...because that must be the most ironic thing I've ever read.
Sentences this long are outrageous. This country is race obsessed.

What annoys me is that if someone black put up white propoganda it would be laughed off and nothing would happen.

Look at Big Brother, you can call some fat, ugly, a snob, a posh idiot, do impressions of everyone, but as soon as any impression or comment is made against someone that happens to be black the police are called in.

It's more ammunition for the BNP at the end of the day.
