Hi there: I hope someone can help me with my problem. When I switch on my laptop I get a blue screen with a little picture of a guitar and it says "Owner" and I have to click on that and another page comes up saying"launching your settings" then it goes to my screen saver and icons. I used to be able to go direct to that page without going thru that blue screen first. How to I get rid of it? Hope I made sense. I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks,

1.Click on Start and then Control Panel.
2.Click on the User Accounts and Family Safety link.

Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the User Accounts icon and proceed to Step 4.

3.Click on the User Accounts link.
4.In the Make changes to your user account area of the User Accounts window, click the Change your password link.
5.In the first text box, enter your current password.

6.In the next two text boxes, just press enter

7.Click the Change password button to confirm your changes.

8.You can now close the User Accounts window.

and that's it ... you've changed the password to "nothing"

Hi

Click Sart>Run Then type "control userpasswords2" without the quotation marks into the box, click OK. When the dialog box comes up, untick the box along side the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

Click apply then OK

Next time you start up you should bypass the login screen and get straight to the desktop.
