Please help. We have a hawthorn tree that is dying. The leaves have small dark brown spots on them and some of the foliage has died back completely. The leaves just turn rusty brown and die. Is there anything we can do to save the tree??
Thanks in advance

I guess you've tried watering it. I've got old trees and shrubs that have needed watering this year but so far the hawthorns are ok!
You could send a sample of the foliage to Brian Kidd at The Portsmouth News or John Negus at Amateur Gardening. I've found both to be extremely helpful. You could enclose an sae.
Good Luck.
