What do you reckon is the oldest full advert being shown on tv at the moment. my daughter reckons its the milky way one with the red and the blue cars having a race. any ideas

I believe it was the advert for Gibbs SR toothpaste introduced at the start of the independent tv broadcasting service we now know as ITV, it depicted a tube of toohpaste inserted into a block of ice with a toothbrush part loaded if I remember rightly.

Yes, I would say it is the Milky Way Red and Blue Car ad, as it is virtually un-edited.

There have been Percil and Milky Bar ads recently that use old footage, but the clips from different ads are usually brief in each case.
When I went to live in America 48 years the jingle WASHING MACHINES LIVE LONGER WITH CALGON was going strong. Exact same one being heard today.
I think I saw the old Aquafresh advert recently "three in one protection for your family". I remember that being on when I was a child
