Hi all, Im 26 weeks pregnant and the doctor has prescribed my antibiotics for a type of virus. Mainly flu symptoms along with a chesty cough and wheezing for which I also have an inhaler. Will the strain of coughing and sneezing constantly affect my baby? Thanks

Darlin, Do you think that a GP would have prescribed to you if he thought it would cause harm or have affect on your un -baby? You are now past 24 weeks and antibiotics - if needed - are to help YOU. Your immue system needs to be protected, and in doing so, the baby will be also. If you are not 100% happy about it ettelloc, sure ask the Chemist or contact the Pre-Natal Clinic and see what they have to say. Main thing is for yourself at present, don't be getting yourself stressed out worrying about it! All will be fine pet!
Not in the last, now stop worrying and keep on coughing.:-)
Sorry typo "last" should have been "least"....sorry.
