Why cant I see anything on Google Earth? My wife asked me to download it, all successful, but when zooming into my home town I get nothing but a uniformed green coloured screen? What do I need to do? Thank you

Are you sure you wasn't zooming in on a field?
You need to be connected to the internet when you use it and if you have a slowish connection then it can take some time to download the pictures of the area.
you could try aboutmyplace.co.uk
Thks guys. Was a reallllly slow conx for sum reason. Will check the other site too. Thanks again.
Aren't you only meant to have one name on here?

I am one n my wife the other. Will use wot ever screen or iPhone is close by as the answers get pushed thru to all of our 'toys'. Simples! And thanks will try that too if pc goes on a go slow again.
To avoid using Google Earth just go into a browser.

Go to page google.co.uk

Put in a palce name or post code.

Then just select "maps" near the top of the page.

You get a map of the area and you can zoom in and out or move around to see different areas.

Or you can select Satellite and get a photograph which you can also zoom in and out or move around.

You can also drag the little "man" onto the map to see google street view (for some areas)
Don't be put off Google Earth, it's a lot more fun than just looking at maps.
