How can i put my videos on my ipod for free?

Hi all,

I'd like to be able to watch the movies i already have on my laptop on my ipod. I have looked around and everywhere wants me to pay $29.99 etc for the software to do this. I dont mind paying for stuff but... i've paid for the movies and i've paid for the ipod and i've paid for my laptop etc etc
Does anyone kow of a program that is free? no watermarks or trial periods etc?

Use this app to convert videos to mp4 and then load them on to the ipod. It's free.

I'd recommend super too, but it's a little confusing.
