Hi There,

I have a renault clio 1.2 dynamique. It has not been driven for a while and the battery has gone flat. I stupidly opened the driver door with the key fob, but now there is not enough power to re-lock it. Does anyone know if thereis a manual way of doing so without having to charge the battery.

Many Thanks

Tom

I take it it won't lock manually with the key in the door?

Charging the battery is no big deal, my wife's car constantly has a flat battery as she never drives it. Jump start it off another car and after a bit of a run out it should be fine.

If it's a manual it may even bump start.
You have two choices really.
1/ open the bonnet and attatch some jump leads then press the lock button.

2/ again, open the bonnet and connect a battery charger, lock with the button then disconnect.

You only need power whilst locking.

If you have an alarm attatched to the bonnet then this may set the alarm off.
