My wife and I bought a new PC last year. We registered it in joint names...then we split up! Every time I open a word document it comes up with the message 'registered to Mr & Mrs.....'.How can I change this to take her off so it doesn't keep reminding me!

This string is stored in the registry.
Go to Start > Run > and type "regedit" Then click on "My Computer" at the very top, and then press F3. A search box will pop up. Enter the full string "Mr & Mrs..." and hit enter. When it finds it in the registry, it will appear on the right hand side where you can double click on the respective key and change the value.

Thankks lisaj. I tried it but it didn't work, even after re-booting. I found the relevant strings and changed 'em just like you said! Any other ideas?

In Word go to Tools then Options then edit the User Information. It will now be licensed to you. Lisaj's answer will alter the Windows registration details but not the Office registration details
