I have to go into work tomorrow because my stupid member of staff has gone into our shared drive and deleted loads of spreadsheets containing everybody's working times and overtime claims. He went into the shared folder and attempted to create a short-cut into his personal folder. Somehow something went wrong and he ended up deleting everything. I could kill him right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not even my job Cazzz. I'm just covering for someone who has gone on holiday for a couple of weeks! All the spreadsheets were named but I can't remember the names.

Our IT unit are crap Chucky. Our shared drive is used by over 3000 staff so you can imagine how many files and folders there are on there.

I have to try and re-do some of the spreadsheets tomorrow but I've got loads of other work on for Monday so I don't know when I'm going to get the chance to call them Brucie. I've got 150 overtime claims to check before they get approved and they have to be done by close of play Tuesday. The cut-off period is Wednesday.

As you work for such a large concern it seems very strange that the IT don't back up daily.

You need to take access away from him if he has done this more than once - he'll do it again.

He either is very stupid or he is doing it to annoy?????? My betting is the second

Hi Tiggerblue10 Got into work this morning phones system e-mails all OFF!!!!( could't believe it after reading about your problems last night) Had to get Service Director in to sort which he did thank god we are now up & running........ how is it going for you?
