perhaps coloured feathers attract dust better!

Ours is plain yellow!  How boring of us!
Because 'tickle-me-sticks' look funnier when they are multi-coloured
No idea!  But then why are ordinary dusters dyed a bright yellow which when you wash them comes out and spoils all your washing?

Ewwww - why would you pust dusters in with your normal washing anyway?  Dusters should be washed on the highest temperature and thus seperate from anything but tertry towling nappies! 

Least you CAN wash dusters.  Feather dusters are pretty, but let's face it, they just waft the dust around a bit!
