Help! I need a World War 2 Costume - any ideas?

Please can anyone suggest a simple costume that I can wear to a World War 2 Experience Day with my class of 10-11 year olds? I have plenty of suggestions for my children but can not think of a simple and comfortable costume that I can wear myself. I never wear dresses so feel rather limited. I am also quite tall and on the large side so do not want to wear anything too noticeable. Help!
