You may be able to have rollaway beds to increase the capacity of a room - but two double beds is virtually a 100% standard for US hotels.

An apartment may be another avenue to explore.
Usually if they offer 2 rooms you may have a pull out couch in one of the rooms. This means that they can actually sleep 6 people. the best thing to do is e-mail someplace you are interested in and ask if they can provide more sleeping space such as a rollaway bed. Most hotels have small suites that will sleep more then 4 people.
Not being nosy, but won't a quad room work? It's going to get really expensive otherwise.
I often use http://www.hotelopia.co uk

lil o'lady, what's a quad room? never haerd of one. I assume it's something to do with 4 but thats all.
A quad room is a room that sleeps four - usually two double beds but can be a double and two singles depending on the layout of the room.
I believe the americans also have 'club rooms' ie normal double rooms that have an adjoining door connecting them.
