Hi there, I hope you had a great holiday and have come back relaxed and ready to face everything. I'm sorry for not getting in touch a little earlier but I have been laid low with the damn chemo side effects, this time it was flu like symptoms which started last Thursday and It's only today that I seem to be on the mend. Anyway I just want to wish you the best of luck for your appointment tomorrow, I have got my fingers (and everything else that can be) crossed. What time is your appointment? Love Kath. xXx

Please don't apologise for not getting in contact, I understand fully. Great to hear from you. So sorry your having bad side effects from your Chemo, I can't imagine what you are going through. How many more sessions do you have? Do they give you anything to combat these effects?

Had a grand holiday Kath, lovely weather and no work! My daughter really enjoyed it too. Thank you.

Yes, I have just returned from my appointment, I saw a lovely lady who was very honest and said that she isn't sure what the lump is, so she wants to be thorough and she sent me for a mamagram today (more uncomfortable than I thought it would be) they will send me an appoinment for an ultrasound scan too. Once they get the results they will contact me for an appointment. More waiting but atleast she was very thorough.

Thank you so much for your concern. I wish you recovery, hope you are feeling better today xxxx

Hi again, I am so pleased that you and your daughter had a fab holiday.

The only thing to combat these side effects is lots of rest and sleep, it will get worse before it gets better, I am just focusing on the end result. My next and 4th of 6 chemo sessions is on the18th June at 2pm.

I had my mammogram and ultrasound scan on my first hospital appointment after seeing the consultant and then my biopsy the day after that, I must admit that I don't remember it being uncomfortable and I remember remarking to the lady doing the mammogram that I had expected it to be more painful and how stupid I felt for not being brave enough to go when I had been called for routine screening. I find it hard to understand why they are being so slow at getting you seen and can only summise that they are not worried about your lump but then again I don't want to give you any false hope.

Take care and let me know when you get your ultrasound appointment. Love from Kath.XX
