Does anyone have any experience with one of these bracelets. I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hands which is very painful. I have been told that these are supposed to help and was wondering if anyone has one or wears one and would they recommend them. Thanks for any feedback.

A friend of mine has one but has not been diagnosed with any specific complaint. He swears that it has helped with his aches and pains. There is no harm in trying. Some of the bracelets are quite decorative. I do hope that you are not in too much pain.

Thanks for your reply Bettypat I think I will give one a try. As you say there are quite attractive ones to be had - it is a case of trying anything that will help to alleviate the pain.
Don't waste your money . I have OE In my whole body top to toe and a fancy bracelet is no use whatsoever .How is a bracelet going to prevent Hebdens nodes and pain in your hands ?
Believe me I have tried them all ,copper bracelets ,magnetic bracelets ,complete waste of time and money. Didn't do diddly squat .
You are better off rubbing a gel like like Feldene into your finger joints to ease the pain, squeeze a tennis ball and flex your hands as much as possible .

Thanks shaneystar2 this is what I wanted from the thread I posted - to know what people thought about them and if they were worth the money. It is in both hands wrists and shoulders - something I could do without also having osteoporious having caused fractured vertabrae.
So maybe will pass on this one. Haven't come across Feldene - can I get that in the chemists it may be worth a try.
You sound like me Mctavish.Way past the help of magnetic bracelets !
You can buy Feldene over the counter or Traxam is another good gel which you can rub in .
I don' t know about you but I also have RA which was the start of this awful thing. My hands swell up like butchers sausages apart from the knobbly bits and throb like boogery !
I also use a gel which I get from Germany .You can buy it here now .Pferdesalbe .Brilliant stuff. Not a cure but cools and relieves those aching joints .Give it a try .

PS .I'm a bit of rub in the gel fan because having had so many different drugs all of which have awful side effects I have gone down the road of self help and the odd painkiller when it all gets too much .At least when I slap the gel on it's instant relief for a while .Elther that ,a big gun or lay on the cold tiles on the bathroom floor :))
Keep trucking xx
