i've got a trumatic heater in my van (not sure of model), when i turn the thermo on and put the knob on the fire to either symbols on both sides of the off symbol it just blows out cold air, but when i put the knob on the off symbol hot air does come out and heats the van but the heater face gets extremley hot. am i doing something wrong and how can i get it to blow hot air out of the blower and through the ducts?? the van is 2005. thanks

Really sorry I can't help you, but you may have been better off if you'd reconsidered how you worded a couple of things in your question :)
I think those symbols and settings only work if you're on an electric hook up, and our instructions say to use the electric heating as a back up to the gas. Not very effective on electric alone. We very rarely go anywhere with a hook up.

Hope this helps. Wish they'd make the instructions clearer!
