Brilliant or rubbish prize?

In the Mail today there was a prize offered in some raffle thing for 10 people to win 1000 text entries to the Live 8 ticket lottery.

Wouldn't you be so miffed to get 1000 entries and not get a ticket from any of them, and wouldn't it be kinda brilliant for the winner of the Mail's prize to get 1000 entries and end up with 1000 tickets (I think I have heard that the entries are for a pair of tickets, so possibly 2000). Potentially 20,000 of the tickets end up in the hands of 10 lucky Mail readers.

Or is the prize just for 2 tickets for the lucky winners, and to make sure they get the 20 tickets they need the Mail are going to apply 10,000 times.

A bit confused, maybe someone could clear this up for me.

I haven't seen the Mail, but I guess they will use a mobile to text the competition 1000 times on your behalf, There are only 2 tickets available per mobile phone number, so you can't win more than 2 tickets anyway, and you may not win any despite the 1000 texts. The Mail  will ring you and say that you did or didnt win
Its a rubbish paper. I think Londondave is right. I can't believe the Mail actually seem quite interested by this whole live8 thing, but are quite prepared to report some criticism in the actual paper itself with the lack of black performers taking part. Normally if they like something they will only print the "good" side of the story and vice versa. Maybe they haven't quite worked out whether they support giving money to africans, with the paper so often bordering on the racist side. I suupose the mail is happy as long as all the africans stay in their part of the world.
what page is it on as i bought the paper espcially and cant find it!!
I'm not sure, but I'd imagine that the maximum number of tickets allowed for any one person is two.
