how long do i have to wait to get apid out on pet insurance?

On the 17th of march my dog was attacked by another dog and needed 16 stitches and i got a bill for �207. I phoned my insurace company and they sent the forms out. The vet faxed the bill and the forms through on the 24 of march, I later got a letter asking 4 details of what happend. That is the last i have heard from them. I have phoned and emailed complaining but still no reply. Is there any legal advice i can get to why this claim is taking so long

Send a letter to their head office by recorded delivery stating that you are making a complain and why - they are obliged under their code of conduct to acknowledge and deal with your complaint and if they do not you can then refer the matter to the Financial Services Authority to take up on your behalf.
Make sure you quote their claim reference
