As in the UK, the cheapest place to buy cigarettes in any other country is likely to be a large supermarket.

When viewing that list, remember that you're restricted to bringing back just 200 cigarettes (without paying excise duty, import tax & VAT) from some of the newer EU member states (i.e. Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia). From all other EU countries, you can bring back a theoretically unlimited quantity for personal use, but HMRC may challenge you (and confiscate the cigarettes if they don't believe you) if you try to import more than 3200.

due to the poorer exchange rate they are not as 'cheap' as they used to be only a short while ago. we get ours in belgium (which is cheaper than france and only a short distance further to travel). In belgium it does not matter where you by them as they are preprinted with the price on manufacture and are the same price all over the entire country.

Hi Dee, you have to go to the tobacconist to get your fags, because in majorca (and I think that is the same all over Spain) the shops are not allowed to sell fags now, mind you I have seen them in some supermarkets, but there is a lot of dodgy fags going about even over there. so dont buy them anywhere else apart from a tobacconists.The prices have went up over this last couple of years. but they are still cheaper than here in the uk, I buy Regal and they are about 33 euros for 200, same as Bensons, but you can buy cheaper fags, depending on what you prefer, regal and bensons are the dearest. if you are buying lots for yourself and intend using a card then you have to take your passport for id purposes, I hope this helps. and enjoy your holiday

In tenerife you can buy fags anywhere.
regal range from 18 euros a carton to 20 euros but you can get mayfair and teh likes for about 15 euros a carton.
you can only take 2 cartons home per person but can risk posting as it costs only 3 euros per carton in postage .

In majorac 200 regal are 31 to 333 euros a carton
