On 27th. March this year I had release surgery to my right hand, which cured the pins & needles and pain in my thumb and three fingers adjacent, but I now have pain in my little finger and down the left side of my palm and soreness in the area of the incission extending into my wrist. Has anyone else had similar symptoms.

Squad, i've researched ulner neuropathy. Very enlightning thanks. But www.enotes.com, states "Ulner neuropathy most commonly arises because of damage to the nerve as it passes through the wrist". So in conclusion as I did'nt have the problem before carpal tunnel surgery, I think it must have occurred during surgery. BUT THEN I SIGNED A DISCLAIMER DID'NT I.
Thanks for your king help.
Alan, because you signed a disclaimer, this doesn't absolve the surgeon from facing the consequences of negligence during the operation.

After saying that, I think that it was extremely unlikely that the ulnar nerve was inadvertently damaged during your operation.
The ulnar nerve can be compressed at the elbow joint.

My suggestion would be to give you problem another 4months to resolve and if it has not done so then to return to your surgeon.

Good luck
