Can cows swim distance?

Could a general dairy cow swim the distance from Oban to Kerrera (google maps), roughly half a mile open sea. Would a heard make it accross the distance?

yes but they would probably get held up with all the pigs swimming in the opposite direction
They probably could swim that distance. In days gone by, drovers would make cattle swim across from the Isle of Skye to the mainland at Kyle of Lochalsh.
