Can anyone give me a quick run down of what happened in the last ten minutes or so of New Tricks this week. I fell asleep and missed it.

The young copper nailed his man after advice from Amanda Redmond. The kidnapped girl wasn't murdered and turned up safe with a husband and child. The husband had kidnapped her (before he was her husband) but they were in love. The mother of the kidnapped girl had been dating the guy who ran the kitchen showroom when he was a copper. He had got her off a drink driving charge. And she was the doctor of the guy who kidnapped her daughter, and the reason he did it was because his mum had died of cancer and he fealt that the doctor had not treated her properly so he wanted revenge.

 

And Dennis Waterman sang the theme tune!

Thanks elgroucho, but who got the ransom money , the girl and the kidnapper, or the mother/doctor?

Ahh, it was the copper who became the kitchen showroom owner (ie the boyfriend of the mother/doctor), he used the �20K as a deposit on the showroom, but the doctor lady wasn't in on it. They couldn't prove it so he got off.
