when using adobe photoshop how do i remove other people from the image,i have tried using the eraser tool but this just makes the background white!..help!! many thnx in advance...

Fill the white, left by the eraser, with pixels. Copy a filler (squared background section) & paste into white area.
you could use the Clone tool to replace the person that you want to remove, with a background taken from other parts of the photo,
Photo-shop is extremely complicated, and tuition is advisable,
There are much simpler photo programms available,

Clone some background over them with the rubber stamp tool. preferably with foliage as this is less visible, or use the healing brush in a similar way.

You can do what Smith says on Paint (accessories) & its free! Embedded objects can also be re-sized with Paint.
