I've been taking a small dosage of Zoloft (12.5mg) for just 7 days and I don't like the way it seems to make me feel. It was prescribed as a long term treatment for anxiety and as a replacement for the Klonopin I'm still taking. I can't get to sleep, my anxiety seems WORSE and it makes me feel depressed. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge/experience of this kind of thing and what the risk would be of stopping right away.

Tecate, Are you still on the full dose of Klonopin or reducing? If you're reducing you could be having withdrawal symptoms. Zoloft aka Setraline is an ssri and usually it takes 5-7 days to get really into the system so you can either carry on to see if the symptoms wear off as the Zoloft kicks in or see your gp about coming off them though a week on them should'nt leave you with withdrawal symptoms if you decide to stop taking them as from today. See you gp to let him.her know.
I have just been put on anatryptaline (i think that is how it is spelt and just a few days in and i am experiencing worse anxiety then i did before i went on them but it says on the attached paper all about the drug that you can get worse before you get better, what does you piece of paper that accompanies your drugs say. I am trusting my doctor as he knows me and says that what he has put me on is not addictive and i got it up on google and mine arent addictive so check for that as well. Hope i have been of some help from one anxious person to another anxious person, I hope you sort yourself out.
