No, you can continue to use your current name - in fact anyone call themselves anything they like legally
as long as it isnt for the purpose of fraud and suchlike

Thanks,it wouldn`t be so bad if his surname was ok but it`s not!! lol
Why not have a double barrelled surname - e.g

Maiden name = Norton

Fiance's name = Smith

Marriage name = Norton - Smith
oops - I didn't read your comment about his surname

Nurse - is it time for my medication ?

Surname is Batley!! I don`t want to be named after a town!!
Batley ? - Nothing wrong with that - I thought you meant a really embarrising name like , Hussy
My surname is "Battie" and my partner's is "Mann". I'm not sure having the names double barrelled would work.
Mann has gotta be better than Battie. Your son will be teased with a surname of Battie - he'll have to learn to box!
LOL

Battie / batty , is west indian slang for bottom - as in bum .

Battie - Mann .
I dont know if that's the direction you were heading
