Definitely Tom Baker. He seems a bit of a nutter in real life!
John Pertwee- although I have to admit David Tennant will probably be a hard act to follow in the modern series.
Even tho it was shown in theStates.I was never a fan of it until the most recent series. I started to get into it when Chris Eccleston was in it,but David Tennant is the Dr for me.
Used to be Colin Baker, but there was just something so charismatic about Christopher Eccleston!
david tennant

Slyvester McCoy - because he was the first actor I saw in the role.

But do like David Tennant not sure how Matt will do
Definitely Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker for me.
Both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant were too "hammy" and theatrical. I think the Dr Who character needs to be a bit more heavyweight and a touch more serious. Having said that I enjoyed all the recent series, and judging by it's success, so did probably millions of others.
Patrick Troughton - he was more fun than William Hartnell.

I really hated any story-line that had the Brigadier and the army in it.

The cheapest villain I remember was foam bubbles that came through air-vents and under doors with long leaves flapping about! Still darn scary though!
