car clamping

Hypothetical question...

if you have a car which is clamped and you go to pay to get it back, so u r not with yr car and something happens to yr car e.g. vandalised.

whose responsibility is it. is it yrs or the people who clamped u in the first place.

but what if u had left yr car in a dodgy area or carpark and couldnt leave it safely because the clampers had stopped u, surely the blame must rest with them moreso.

i dunno, its just something we have been debating at home.

If i understand right, u have park illegally so they have clamped u. Was it ur choice 2 park there in the first place? If it was avoid dodgy areas lol.

You would need to take photos of the car in the tow area before you drive it away. You need to clearly show the damage and the location of the vehicle - parked up against a high kerb, for example, which damaged the skirt.

Then you claim from the clamp company. While the vehicle is in their possession they are responsible for it and it should not be damaged.

Bear in mind the tow company will have photos of the vehicle in the place where you parked it so any damage the vehicle had prior to the tow may be clearly visible in their photos.
