I'm looking for a novel. t had a yellow cover with a child on it. It was set in the USA in a rural community. It was about the children mainly, and how the extreme heatwave and drought of that year afffected them and their family's farm. They waited for a school bus that often didn't come.
Can anyone place it? Love to read it again. Thanks, Eve.

I've never read it so this could be completely wrong but I know the grapes of wrath is set in a drought in the USA, so could it be that?

Thanks, I'll look at that, but think it was more modern and a one word title...but really can't remeber!
