Ideas, please, for the pressie in the middle of a 6 year old's birthday party pass the parcel. Mainly boys but a few girls too. Not too big as its takes loads more wrapping paper on each layer. I have brain drain from stayng up late last night on Prof Layton on his DS! thanks.

Dunno about the middle pressie.. but I wrap each layer with a sweetie and make sure that everyone gets a chance to unwrap.. that way they all get something...

Yes, going to do that and make sure they all get a sweetie, then turn my back for the last middle pressie so that no one is favoured, but still need ideas. Don't want to do colouring book and crayons, or bubble machine. May look at those smart Crayola sets though where the paper changes colour, but if anyone has an idea that the winner has loved let me know.
When I was a kid my mum always put in a square box of smarties which made the parcel rattle in a very satisfying way as it was passed around!
what about a set of bouncy balls or a skipping rope or football you would have to put a note in the middle so the winner comes to you.
If you put a hard lolly in between each layer you can see at a glance who has had a turn ( by the sick sticking out of their mouth.)
In my experience, kids that age are delighted to win anything so I wouldn't stress too much - A box of maltesers always goes down a treat or go to The Works or somewher like that and see what they have - the balloon modelling kits can be fun.
Put a Madagascan Jumping Taratula in the middle... should liven things up...
Boxes of maltesers, tubes of sweets, bubbles
a tube of slime
some bubbles
a small tube containing a few one pound coins?
a novelty keyring?
a kinder egg
