Just saw this and totally agree, This guy's goal from the very start was to make as much money, and get as much fame as he could, And as is proved nowadays, with the term "Celebrity", he was always going to get both.
I did think the program was more about making Max look like a bit of a loser then anything to do with Pete Doherty.

The man was seriously worryingly derranged!!!! or was that just for the camera's too? All that stuff about f**king and fighting, and how intimate they were. He's the one needs locking up!

I saw it and all the way through i was thinking what a total loon Max was, it was actually really scary watching him losing it and it made me cringe when he was following him around saying they had a "relationship".  He is a total wannabe and he kept name dropping to his so called pals.  I know he had problems but as the song says "what a waster, what a f****** waster" !!

On a serious note any press Pete gets glamorises the fact he is a junkie, what a role model eh? not.

Yeah i think Max can kiss goodbye to any chance of working professionally again... if he was ever professional.   He was a complete nutcase and it was embarassing to watch.  i am sure it was edited somewhat to show Max as a stalker but well it didnt need too much editing did it.

Yes Pete is a smack head and its not good to promote that however he is vunerable and i dont think the people surrounding him are particularly good 4 him.

i guess its a cross over between a depressed fan type person to someone wanting to be a bit more desirable and with the 'in crowd'.  i just think max saw a vunerable talent and wanted to exploit that for his own gain...either professionally or just to be a cling on.

I saw it last night and I have to agree with you all,  what a complete arse that idiot Max was, I dont think he is 100% crazy, more than anything else he is pathetic and embarassing.  I had heard of Pete Doherty before, and had always assumed he was an idiot, I was very surprised to see that he is a charismatic and very funny bloke, with buckets of 'je ne sais quais'.  I would like to know more about him, I found myself getting really ****** off Max was demanding so much of our attention, when any decent film maker would have zoned in on Pete far more, a classic example of a missed oportunity.
Pete Docherty rocks an that Max guy wiz a ****** **** ****...tryin 2 b his pal an then sellin his pics 2 the press??i'd have punched the **** aswell!!
max infuriated me, i was cringing when i was watching what hell did he think he was doing, going on about how him and pete are connected for life because of what happened between them, he deserved a good bloody punch, i was a hugely massive fan of petes before the documentry, and after watching it i found it sad because you know his life is going to end in some tragic druggy way, but god dam it for a smack head hes gorgeous, i think he should let me be his girlfriend
