We have neighbours from hell & one of them went to court for racially abusing my partner few years ago & got a 12 month conditional discharge.

The neighbours still be cause trouble indirectly
(not racial). Today one of the family members called our friend a F****** Ass**** who is black just because he parked his car closeby. Eventhough this is not directly racial, there is history & how dare they insult our freind!!!

They keep walking past our house watching the house, I feel like calling them a racist but not sure if we'll get in trouble with police if they are called?

Any suggestions? Thanks all

It does not sound like a racist insult to me.

Hi biggerlonger - I was not referring to the insult by our neighbour - I wanted to turn around & call the neighbour a racist as we've had enough!!!!!!
Commiserations on your unpleasant neighbours, but it does sound as though you are itching to play the race card in the hope of a certain result.
As your neighbour is already logged with the police. If you tell them he is approaching your family or friends with insulting remarks they can arrest him as he is causing a public offence. The person whom he made abuse at need to make the complaint. You will need to keep a log of all details with dates and times and do not attempt to answer him back just walk away, do not be temped to be drawn into an argument with him.
