I had a taratula for a while and it definitely drank water.  So I'm sure it passed water also.  I've seen pictures of a tarantula's excrement smeared on glass so that i could be seen.  It looked a bit slimy, so it probably contained water.

Spiders do pass water but it is mixed with the defecation.  Once the water evaporates, the spot left is usually cream colored and chalky in appearance...
