my 53 reg golf has been recently serviced my an independant mechanic. any way i am after the combination to disable the service warning light?

Hold down the trip meter reset button, insert key turn to position 2. Spanner will flash on the display. turn trip meter reset once to the right (as if advancing the clock a minute) as this is required on the polo and may be required on the golf too. That should do it. Good luck.
