What is the easiest and cheapest method for getting a 2nd key for the car? I have heard the only way is to get a locksmith come to the car and produce one there. Is there no other method?

there is no easy / cheap way to get car keys, thats the whole point of security.
If you already have a key, then take it to a key-cutting shop and have a copy made. If it is of the type that has a "chip" in the head of the key (for an immobiliser) then you will have to contact your local Suzuki dealer who can sort one out for you.

If you have no key at all and are locked out - then you would need a locksmith or a brick!

Yes I have been onto Suzuki and they want to charge 100 + Vat so I assume there must be a chip in the head of the key. Web sites say they send out a locksmith to the car so there won't be much change there. In the past the main key had a number so that extra keys could be ordered.
