Hi, Does anybody have the name of a good hotel and spa, preferrably in the North (east) of England....Its for a surprise birthday trip for my friends 40th so would like something really special (but not too expensive if possible) thanks in advance.

Redworth Hall near Darlington is worth checking out - nice hotel with extensive range of spa facilities
