dont know where this should go but can anybody tell me the differance between formal and informal documents???

in what context? You can have formal documents in many fields, law being an obvious one, or any contract. It usually imples there are some laws or rules that require certain elements in the document (signatures, descriptions of things involved etc); but someitmes things not strictly done according to the rules may be acceptable (eg I think a court once upheld a dying man's will, which just read 'All for Mum').
Formal documents are things like business letters, legal documents and official forms such as memos and police statements. It could also include reports and academic essays and theses.

Informal documents are things like a letter to a friend, pages of poetry or prose, flyers and lecture notes.
