i bought a christmas rose plant at a car boot sale, it grew brilliant until one day i put it in a different plant pot and over a few weeks it became waterlogged and weeped so i took it out and left it to drain on gravel.....it just continued to die...over winter i left it in a sheltered spot and its still looking poorly but appers to have a tiny new growth on it...one day it looks alive and the next day all weepy....any help to save it would be appreciated please

you have been watching the hellebore going through its living and dying cycle. It's probably right that you can see hints of new growth as the cycle starts again. So plant it in the garden and stand back and watch it develop along with your other perennials which are also beginning to spring into life.
