Yesterday I made a lemon cake in a loaf tin. The tin was well greased however today (didn't get round to it yesterday!) when I've tried to get said cake out of tin - its stuck!. I've run a knife around the edges several times but to no avail - anyone with any advice?

TIA

The butter you greased the tin with will have hardened so if you stand it in some hot water and let it melt again the cake should come out ok.
Try putting it a warm oven for 5-10 mins, then run the knife around the edge and try again. In future you need to take cakes out of baking tins about 5 mins after they come out of the oven. Good luck!
Sorry that should have been " Into a warm..."
