Have borrowed an electric juicer (large model...can juice small apples whole) and am impressed with results...but am wondering how could I use the pulp from the fruit...have heard that some people use it in baking cakes...tried sprinkling it on icecream....but am wondering if there were a way to solidify it into a bar ....so I could have the juice and then be able to have pulp like in a weetabix type form...is there an additive that would make this possible??? Would love to know what others are doing with the pulp..

It can certainly be added to muffin mixes to make great fruit muffins but remember if adding a lot that you will have to increase your flour slightly to compensate for the additional moisture. Also great for making fruit crumbles -  you may need to add a little sugar and sprinke on a mixture of crumble mixture and porridge oats and bake for 30-40 mins. Dollop on the custard or ice cream! I wonder if you could freeze it into chunky fruit sorbets? Also try dissolving geletine sheets (not the powdered sort) in cold water and then adding to the warmed mixture to dissolve - set into fruit bars?
